Día de Andaluca, Parque de las Ciencias, and lots of stuffed wildlife.

Since 1980, February 28 commemorates the date in which the Andalusian region was officially declared an autonomous community of Spain. On this date, Andalusian schools are closed and the Andalusian flag can be seen on many balconies of homes and buildings—one of the ONLY dates in which people display their flags!

Meanwhile the majority of the city's shops and restaurants are closed down—not the bars, obviously. There were some places still open, and I decided to visit the Parque de las Ciencias, which is the science museum in Granada!

There are SO many things to see and do in this science museum, but since today was FREE entry, some rooms were closed off. I am going to have to return to see full access, but one of the coolest rooms I saw today was the Wildlife exhibit filled with STUFFED animals.

They also have the new robot exhibit!

When I go back, I hope to visit the BioDomo, Biosphera, and Planetarium.
