Why become an ambassador?

Sept. 9, 2018

After coming back from Spain, I am bridging the gap between being back and being away from my new home by working as a student ambassador for prospective students studying abroad! I get to share my experience, provide advice, and act as a mentor for students that want to know and experience what it’s like beyond our country’s borders.

As a CEA Alumni Ambassador, I get to connect with CEA students from across the country who have studied abroad in various parts of the world! We work together to plan outreach ideas to attract the attention of students and give them insightful information on the benefits of studying abroad. It’s a step out of my comfort zone, but I am learning some great communication skills along the way!

I worked the Study Abroad Fair back in September and encouraged many interested students in signing up to learn more about CEA’s programs. I felt really good in how much my experience and advice could have an impact on a student who might have little to no experience abroad and might not have any experience speaking a foreign language.
